I've heard people who supposedly had stats on this say it's around 5% long term. I haven't seen any hard data myself, but that's honestly seems about right.

I remember reading a article a while back. Like 12% or something where above the line and the poker sites collect over 50% of the deposits through rake.

20% At most I think.

long run, I think more than 10% cos some player as I know is not gambler.
if they lost some quarters they earn from freeroll, they will never play that room.- overall these part of player still counts as winning player.- tiny winning players.

the procentage of is proportionaly with mood of the moment, the experience and your bankroll of course , if have money have turnover

For the past two months in a row I cashed in every tournament I played in. I played in at least 3 a week. Now I keep getting so unlucky! Aces getting cracked etc..

I heard pros typically cash 20% of the time in big tournaments.

I doubt it is as high as some posters suggest - 25%

I would be interested to see official statistics if they exist somewhere

The last official poll they did of this, some time back, it was 8% of players are winning players. This was almost 10 years ago.

cash games id say around 10-15%, 18man+ tournaments under 10%
games like super turbos less then 5%, normal 9 man sngs around 8%.

I would say that at any poker table of 10 players , on average you will have 2 of those players that are regular big winners. So about 20% of all poker players are ahead nicely....the rest are either losers in the game, or about even , ahead a little bit.
