It is clear that a human will likely play a $0.01 buyin tournament, differently than they would play a $1,000 buyin tournament, and would play that differently than they would play a $10,000 buyin tournament.  Part of this is because the level of competition will be different, but also because, we probably could care less if we lose 1 cent versus how we will feel if we lose $10k.

We will be inhibited when we play above our heads, but we will be free when we play within our comfortable limits.  Going all-in for $0.01 is a much different proposition than going all-in for $10K.  The math is exactly the same and should be what drives our poker behavior.  When we stop making the proper mathematical play because of the money involved, we are probably playing above our head.  Or.... we just like gambling it up.  If we are gambling it up, then we are missing the advantage that poker has over other gambling endeavors, and that is we are able to play with an edge, every hand, and if we don't we are missing something.
