Does anyone know if Poker After Dark has been canceled? I know it was strongly connected with Full Tilt, and now the re-runs have been replaced even though the schedule shows POD.

Not sure, is it anything like this?

Although it's got nothing to do with poker but what a catchy tune!

I got this from the internet- ''It appears that NBC has cancelled Poker After Dark after the latest Black Friday accusations that focused more on Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer accusing FTP of being a "Ponzi Scheme". NBC abruptly stopped airing Poker After Dark on 23 September 2011. In New York it stopped airing mid-week on 20 September 2011.''

It wasn't just "strongly connected" with Full Tilt - Full Tilt paid for its production, and IIRC they might have even been paying for the airtime.

Think of it less as a show in its own right, and more like a Full Tilt infomercial, and you'll get the idea.

That Blows

DVR'ing Poker After Dark is what made me really interested in playing. I don't really like the WPT because you only see the final table, where it is usually a coin flip. Is there a streaming site that has all stars playing cash games?

Yeah I will miss watching it. Too bad they (FTP) had to be so greedy to steal and be so deceptive, when they had such a good think going.

FWIW, you really can lay a lot of the blame for these shows disappearing on the US government: without US players to advertise to (remember, these "shows" were really more like infomercials) there was limited value in the sites continuing to pay for them, and most of them would probably have been cut even if the Full Tilt fraud situation didn't happen.

NBC pulled it off the air shortly after the DOJ proclaimed FTP was a ponzi scheme. Last I checked they were airing a show called Wine Country or something in that timeslot.

Poker After Dark will air a previously recorded but never-before-seen cash game

The $200,000 minimum buy-in includes Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, David Oppenheim, Eli Elezra and David Peat.

The cash game was previously slated to air during winter 2011, before the show took a hiatus in September. The program currently has reruns on the NBC Sports Network, which was previously Versus.

The last season — number seven — was filmed at Aria in Las Vegas, Nevada.
