I was a journeyman painter for a good chunk of my life, and one of the painter nightmares is the long room with a big window at one end.  Even worse is the room with big windows at both ends, but the dream just had one large long room.  The ceiling had to be painted, it was textured as most drywall walls/ceilings are.  Well, there is no way to get a perfect paint finish on a wall textured with a machine blowing texture out of a nozzle held by a human. And a machine hasn't been developed yet that can do it without human help.  The problem is the angle the liquid texture hits the wall, and the resultant little spray patterns from each drop/droplet.  Seems like a non issue right?

But the light patterns from those miniscule spray patterns deflects light differently with every direction the spray was applied.  There is no perfect solution.

The size of this room in my dream was such that it would have taken a week just to do the ceiling.  Full of furniture, and the patterns of the fresh drywall.

1/2 hour after my first cup of joe and I remembered the dream and that there is no room in my life that needs to be painted.

So I can go play a live tourney today!:D
