You don't have to win every pot. Many players feel the need to fight for every hand. They say that learning when to let go of a pot can save you a huge amount of money.

Throwing yourself there is a risk, you may win, or you may lose everything, just like flopping, you may lose a lot.

The most expensive lesson for me was learning that bankroll management is not optional. Early on, I moved up in stakes too quickly after a few good results, convinced I could keep the momentum going. Variance quickly reminded me otherwise, and I gave back much more than I should have. That experience taught me that protecting your bankroll is just as important as playing well. Since then, I’ve been much more disciplined about game selection and stake levels, and it has made a huge difference in my long-term results.

Bankroll management was the most difficult part for me. But once I mastered it, my results changed dramatically.
