Jamie Gold won over 12M in the 2006 WSOP main.  Beating out the largest WSOP main event field to date.
That was an amazing 7 day run.  He's not one of the best 100 players of all time.  No way.  
How about the man who started the Boom.  Moneymaker. One of the best poker players. No way.
Best story and one who arguably the game owes the most to... Yup
I'd sit comfortably at a table with Gold and Moneymaker.  Some others would make me nervous.  
But I'd still sit.
Yeah.   Poker is as fair as it gets.   And the furthest thing from.
