Do many people here listen to any podcasts, or have any they can reccomend?

I've been listening to the grinder school ones recently, they provide good strategy segments for micro/small stakes.

I listen to a few. My favorite for news is the 2+2 Pokercast It's updated once a week and runs about 2 hours.

Typically more for entertainment value than actual poker content.

Podcasts were abundant obv a year ago.

We have thought about it - but have never done it. I for one would have no idea where to start on a project like that so would need someone who has some knowledge of putting something like that together.

I actually have a close friend in Vegas I will be seeing next week so might hit her up for some information on it since she has done a lot of them.

It would be cool, but I could see it turning into how the newsletter did. It's hard to come up with enough information for a 1 page printed email, let alone a 30minute+ (mostly 1 way) conversation.

Yeah but a CC podcast would include some news, some strat and a bit of forum info, not just a constant drone on hot threads and stuff going on, league etc.

I have been listening to ESPN's The Poker Edge. Andrew Feldman isn't the greatest interviewer, but the content is good from the pros when asked what they would do with certain amounts of money for tournaments. Daniel Negraneau was on there about a month ago and gave some insight into strategy he uses.

This is part of what I do for a living (biggest part is radio and TV). If you want to talk then hit me up, especially if there is any thought of going beyond podcast to radio.

I would totally dig a Cardschat podcast. I don't think content would be much of a problem, so long as you pick talkative, charismatic people. I've worked on a podcast before and listened to many, and it really grows over time. You get to know what works and what doesn't fairly quickly, and audiences, especially if they already have some kind of loyalty to you, are very forgiving. Of course, the best podcasts are usually when the talkers are in the same room, which might be difficult seeing as I'm sure you'd want some forum regulars to be speakers, but it is possible to have a conference podcast. It's really just a matter of creativity. And I would listen to it. ;)

I agree. Most of us who are members here would probably DL every week. There are a lot of great people on here who have added tools to my game and I know its hard to scroll through thousands of posts to get the right info.

A good way to start one might be with a ?? episode series on a specific format. Maybe with the wsop coming up it could be on MTT strategy and play.....just a thought

i would prefer more strategy podcasts rather than entertainment but thats just me. I also dont think there would be a shortage of topics if you had a topic thread we could post ideas on.

Give it a try of a few episodes and see how it turns out.
