I think that friendship should always prevail. However, when you are in the same round these two friends, one has to be rival of the other until because I think your advesarios deserve respect.

This is a subtle question. And one of the reasons why one should be neat is playing for money at home games with friends. Playing in an online poker room, we do not particularly care about those whose money will be won. The strongest wins are the motto of any competition, including a poker tournament.

Fully agree with Andrey . Friendship is friendship . Poker is poker . Something like that .

Live home games are more of a social gathering than 'competitive' poker. I used to intentionally play very soft with a friend who was terrible at the game. The goal was not to win at the game, but to socialize.

I think it would be hard to grow friendships thru online poker since 99.9% of the time you are simply playing poker at a computer, tablet or phone. But I do gain respect for certain players and these are the ones that I can learn from. That respect can turn into friendship through a medium such as Cardschat.

Friends are friends and poker is poker, every weekend I meet friends to play live poker, without rake or anything, as we say, "something friendly". Obviously the competitive will never disappear, but always with respect, because you play with friends, not with little fish

Hello.
I play only online.
In fact, I have no way to play with my friends.
But in my opinion, poker is a competition, and no matter who your opponent is.

Online poker is more acquaintances, All you can really do trough a computer screen. Now if you meet up with players that can grow into a friendship.

Live play in a casino can just be the same. Friendship is do other things and talk about more than just poker.

Sometimes I play with my friends, but the competition remains high. Friends are friends and money is money, we all want to win. Obviously we will not lose any friendship for this.

Hi.
It does not matter to me who to play with me.
The main thing for me is the result.
Friendship in this case does not matter, because it is a competition for the best players.
Good luck.

I do not play poker with friends.
Sometimes I can play chess and I always try to win.

I believe friendship comes first, I made great friends the best I've had the pleasure of meeting at the poker tables.

Hi all , I can echo the thoughts of those that say we can battle online more and more, seeing and playing with members here on cc and forming bonds, that said it's very dangerous being my friend as i love my friends chips even more than anyone else's hahahaha seriously too much fun,
In live games the same goes, at wsop however i may not press as hard against a friend (no promises though )

If you play poker for fun, then friendship is not a hindrance, but if you make money in poker, if you play at the same table, then friendship should go to the background:)

Poker is poker, and friendship is friendship. Everyone has a goal, how to act in such situations.

I believe that in every type of game there must be respect for your friend. But at the time of playing I always want to win and win everything I can. I am very competitive and I think that is the best way to play. regards

I have never played against a friend online, but I have live. I have folded KKs to a flopped ace, and my friend has done the same. We consider the competition, not the win. If one of had a great day and the other a disastrous day, we would probably even things out...so it may be an advantage to play against a good friend.
