Even in no limit hold'em he could only jam all in if he was virtually certain he wouldn't get calls.  He should even go as far as to show his cards, if that will not get his hand called. You wouldn't really want to risk more than 60% of your bankroll on AA all in preflop.

Basically just because a wager has a positive expectation doesn't mean you should take it, if it means you have to risk too much of your bankroll.
