what is a pokertracker and does it work or is it just another way to lose money?

poker tracker is a hand analysis tool that allows you to determine where you are making good / bad plays as well as analysing other players.

I do find it a bit overwhelming as it provides a great deal of information

as mentioned in another thread started by ChuckTs, a new 3.0 version is probably going to be released in the next couple of months. It looks to make some very critical improvements to the current version. I'm personally waiting to buy the new version for Hold 'Em. I currently own the Omaha version.

This is the first year I basically relied on the stats of PT. Had a terrible year, and stopped using it about a month ago. Now finding myself working on a come back. Some people swear by it. I felt it made me loose focus I my real talents. Many players games improve and PT slow to recognize.
