Question about Stud Tables

you know on Stud tables there are 8 seats at FTP

and each player can get dealt 7 cards

8 * 7 = 56

Which means 4 More Cards than a deck????

which means a possible 56 cards in play?

that can't be right

In the event that there are not enough cards, instead of dealing the last card to each player, the dealer will turn over one card that will be used as a community card. Does not happen very often. I have seen it happen twice.

yeah...never seen that happen befor..but I dont play stud that much and when i do Iv never had the whole table in the hand till 7th street...hope i never do.

The only time I seen it happen was in a H.O.R.S.E. freeroll.
