Ok, I'm relatively new to the razz cash games. I've probably only played about 10k hands(thats a wild guess). I like it and I feel like i'm starting to get the hang of it but it's just so straightforward. Seems too straightforward. I mean I just don't feel like a game that is so simple and straightforward can really be profitable over time. Of course you can sit at the micro tables and there are some people that just raise and reraise every card no matter what it is, but once I start moving up and play against people that actually have half a brain, can I really expect to outplay these guys and actually pull in a profit? Am I the only one feeling this way? Any thoughts?

Im pretty sure if u are good at Razz u can have a huge edge over every one else.
Problem is just its so hard to multi table and not alot of games running at any given time.

Hopefully one of the two stud/razz experts on this site see this thread and give u a proper not pulled out of the air answer ;).

I think you have some contradictory statements here unless by "starting to get the hang of it" you mean you understand the basic concept of how to figure a winning hand and such. But while it is simple in concept (just like hold'em, Omaha, five card draw), it is pretty far from straightforward. If you truly believe it is too simple and straightforward, then you are either a Razz prodigy that doesn't know it yet but will soon be crushing the higher levels, or you don't quite have a real handle the intracacies of the game and it's strategy.

No, not as long as you think it's a straightforward game that essentially plays itself. It's not a luck fest like some think.

Both of these statements are true. :)
