H.R. 2267, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act of 2009, would create a framework under which online gambling sites could become licensed and authorized to accept bets and wagers from individuals in the United States. Additionally, Chairman Frank has announced his plans to introduce legislation that would delay the implementation of UIGEA regulations which are currently slated to go into effect on December 1, 2009.
