Returning to CardsChat after years away – Martin from Venezuela back in action!

Hey everyone, Long time no see! I'm Martin (old member from many years back) returning to the community after a long hiatus. Life got in the way with moves, no stable internet for months, and just stepping away from the tables. But now I'm back and motivated to get grinding again! I'm starting a disciplined rebuild on PokerStars: focusing on micros, satellites, and solid bankroll management in the $50-100 range – just a few selected tournaments per week. (I'll share more details about the full system and some specific strategies I'm considering in separate threads soon, so the community can weigh in and discuss.) Quick questions: What’s changed in the PS micro stakes scene in recent years? Still soft fields in the $1-5 buy-ins? Also, do the seasonal freerolls (Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall) still run? I remember shipping a deep run/top finish in one of those way back – gave it my all and it felt amazing! Would love to chase that again. Excited to get active, contribute with hand analysis and strategy talks, and climb toward Bronze and the VIP program. Any tips for returning players in 2026? Looking forward to catching up!

Hello. You probably don't have to worry about the Bronze Level anymore and the rest will come back with time. I went through this myself.

I'm so glad you're back! You'll always be part of this great family. I was also away for a while, but I'm back now. I hope to continue being active in this wonderful community. I love you all.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Leaving Cardschat for a while is a rollercoaster ride; it's a real family affair. It goes beyond just a couple, because we never look for many couples who leave again (hahahahaha). Guys, how's the Season League going? Is it still being played on Replay? I played the first two seasons there and the last three on PS. It was tough at first, but you should be used to it by now. I'll fine-tune my space and time for the League in Spring. I hope I get a top pick in the Draft 🤪🤣🤪🤣...

Always great to see old members return — that says a lot about the community and the game itself.

Micros are still beatable, but the average player is slightly more aware now. More regs, more basic GTO concepts floating around, but still plenty of impatience and mistakes in the $1-5 fields.

If I were rebuilding in 2026:

• controlled volume
• heavy post-session review
• focus on mental edge
• selective satellites

I'm also here to share more of my time and your company; there's much more to the forum than just poker and tournaments. I'm taking it step by step. Soon, in a few weeks, I'll send you a proposal for you and the other administrators to review. It's still being fine-tuned, and once it's "cleaned up," I'll send it to you.

I would def take a look at GG poker, way more games, likely quite a bit softer too, I think you would find it easier to buiild there
