One thing you should know. Poker is a fun game but it should never be a source of income. So don't think you are smart and save your money before you regret it.

I dont totally agree

If your just starting out I know from experience digging your way out of freerolls is possible, but not easy and takes forever. Maybe set a limit on what you play cause you can make quite a bit online with only 20 dollars playing as best you can. You make money over time not right away. You would be surprised how you can make a few thousand playing for 2 dollars at a time. Be smart and learn money management.

I don't really agree with your statement as I believe poker can be a source of income, but for the players who don't want to invest their own money to play, there are plenty of freerolls to start a bankroll.

I do not agree, a good player with good bank and limit management will result in benefits but that entails a lot of study and control the limits, there are always freerolls to achieve an important bank and it is not so difficult to achieve it:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

Hi, personally, I have not made a living in poker, but I disagree with the statement that poker cannot be the only source of income if you devote enough time to the game to win, and let's say your weekly win is equal to your salary, isn't it a means of earning money?

I understand that you have fun while playing, but in addition to fun, there may be some gains, and in terms of losses you must be moderate.

I believe the most good option is just to make money on something else and play freerolls or low buy-ins sometimes. In this way you will feel comfortable and not loose your nerves by the poker. Also you will take the joy from the game, because i don,t think, that people, who are playing poker everyday for many hours still can enjoy it.
I can,t enjoy the game in any way, just because i already playing it for 10 years and sometimes soft can kill you for many months and you need to keep patience.

Investing in poker has a good return, especially since in the long run it all depends on the skills of a player.

Well I think that it depends on your attitude towards the game. if you want a get-rich-quick type of thing, then yup, just save your money and move on to something else. But if you put in an effort and think carefully about how you played your recent hands and study, then there is every reason to expect positive results, which would build up to a good , regular income

I'm not agree with you !!! It's all about how you feel about playing poker !!! If you perceive poker as an exciting game just for fun, then, of course, it cannot be a stable source of income !!! But if you work on your game every day, improve it and follow all the rules of maintaining a bankroll, then the profit from playing poker can become stable !!!

Never put YOUR money in! That's a golden rule for me. Also there are bunch of people making a good income by playing poker, so I disagree on that one.

So it really is. The poker rooms themselves make it clear that your account funds are only for the game.

I agree with your comment, Barakatna. Amateur players especially should be aware that it is too risky to try to make poker a source of income.

Hello, I will not agree with you that poker cannot remain the main source of income, many people who play on a regular basis or professionals who earn poker, just I think it is not given to everyone, just do not need to overestimate their strength and skills! In order for poker to become the main source of income for you, you need to work a lot on the game, and of course you need a sound understanding of when and how much you lose and be able to stop on time, do work on mistakes! But I may not be right, but this is my opinion and I can express it! It's just that I think poker can be the main source of income, but for this you need to do a lot of things, and not just play! I wish everyone good luck and play responsibly!

Poker is an investment. If you invest money there plus your time and develop constantly, it will all pay off, but at the same time, as in any investment, you can burn out.:)

Hi.
I agree with you. However, I believe that the key to saving money is the discipline and responsibility of the player. If you are disciplined and responsible, you will always follow the bankroll management, and in that case your money is safe.
Good luck.
