Hi guys, my friend bought a chipset

It contains 600 chips. We usually play 5 people, so we have devided the chips like this :
White 10
Red 20
Blue 30
Green 50
Black 100
That way everyone gets 3300 poker chips. Now i wana buy a set of chips that has 1000 chips
they have the values 
White 1
Red 5
Green 25
Blue 50
Black 100 Printed on them.

My question is, how many poker chips do you guys use to play your home games, what values you set to them and would 1600 chips be too much to spread between 6-7 people in a home game ?
