And in a multiway limit pot you're getting the odds to CALL the turn, if not RAISE it.  If you bet/raise the flop, and bet/raise the turn, people are not going to put you on a flush draw, made or not, so when you bet/raise the river, they may think their two pair is good against your TPTK, or their lower flush sucked out against your set, or their rivered straight is about to pay them off and oh please god don't have hearts.
 
Bet/raise every street with the nut flush draw in limit poker - except the river and you missed and you are sensing strength from your opponents.
 
No Limit is another beast entirely.  In NL if you whiff on the flop you should bet hard to try and take the pot down, effectively semi-bluffing.
 
Also, don't forget to take into account your implied odds (how much you'll get paid if you do hit) - while in a multi-way limit poker pot you'll probably have the odds to call without them, if it's getting close (pot odds vs chance to win), remember there is another round of betting, and in limit you're likely to get looked up.
