I didn't want to get check/raised and be forced to fold or play a bigger pot on an ugly board with a draw with 2 possible dead outs (diamonds). 2.) I wanted a chance to be able to steal it on the turn or river without putting my entire stack at risk if I miss. *TURN* [Ah] for [jD]-[4d]-[6d]-[Ah] SHERMSTICK Bets 120.00 S3mper Raised to 395.00 SHERMSTICK Calls 275.00 When he bets out he could be just trying to take it or have a weak Ace I doubt he limp calls a hand like AK-AQ-AJ or even AT so if he has an Ace, a Jack I can get him off of it. When he calls my raise my first reaction was "GAHHHH" However it was a small raise so I figured he could be holding onto a weak/marginal hand *River* [8c] SHERMSTICK Bets 210.00 S3mper Raised to 920.00 SHERMSTICK Folds S3mper Mucks S3mper Won 1445.00 from Pot 1 S3mper Won 710.00 from Pot 2 On the River (complete brick) he bets 210 into a decent sized pot and to me it just looked like a weak blocker bet with a hand like A-9. So I raise 710 more and I felt like the way I played this hand that it would be something I would never do without the nuts or a flush and felt that a weak Ace couldn't call here.. He folds so I either played it horribly with good results or played it decent with good results lol [/QUOTE]
