Originally on Pokerpages.com Written by Joe Seebok And we thought we had something interesting going on last year. I can almost guarantee that someone will cry this year... It's guaranteed to be a train wreck of epic proportions... I am here to fill you in on all of the hijinks that we have coming up this Summer for the WSOP. You may already know that your favorite caveman, Gavin Smith, and I will be doing a ridiculous prop bet, what you don’t know is that this time we are bringing along everyone’s favorite “kid”, Jeff Madsen This time the theme is Royalty…and you’ll know what I mean as you read along here. That’s right, it’s a three-way prop bet competition for the ages, and we’ll bring it to you courtesy of all available media, as well as a direct satellite link to your mind…if it’s allowed by law. Joe Sebok vs. Gavin Smith vs. Jeff Madsen This year it is going to be a competition featuring most of the NL Hold’em events at this year’s World Series of Poker, but it will also feature a few wild card events that each players gets to pick. Here are some preliminary rules that we have come up with so far… 1. A set amount of NL Hold’em events will be used in the final tally. All of these events will be pre-picked before the WSOP starts. These events will total no less than 15 events and no more than 20. 2. ALL events that have been pre-picked to be included in the wager WILL be included in the wager. That is, no excuses will be accepted for missing an event. If you miss an event, you simply miss an opportunity to pick up those points. 3. Each player will be allowed to pick between 2-3 “joker” events that will count in their tally. They can be the only player to play these events and all points picked up will still be countable towards the final tally. Each player’s special events will also be picked prior to the WSOP starting. 4. The point system employed is listed below. And now, let’s get to the good stuff…the bounty… 5. For all beginning days (Day 1A, 1B, etc.) of WSOP Main Event '07 , the losing players will be forced to dress up as Court Jesters. You read that correctly. Court Jesters. 6. The winning player will be supplied with a robe and crown, in order to ensure that their status as King is recognized. 7. The Court Jesters must carry the King into each starting day on a makeshift, movable throne, which will be provided graciously by Bluff Magazine. 8. The Court Jesters must then carry the King into the Rio ballroom for every day that the King is still alive and playing in the WSOP Main Event, up until the final day of the event. 9. King may have to pay for medical expenses for Court Jesters (This rule may only come into effect if Gavin somehow comes out victorious). 10. We may, or may not, have musical accompaniment for the King's entrance into the Rio ballroom for each day this Summer. I am sure that there will be more developments as we get nearer to the actual competition, so stay tuned as we will bring them straight to you. Scoring System 1st 100 1k to 2k events= 1x 2nd 80 2500 to 5k events= 2x 3rd 75 "Joker" events= 2x 4th 70 5th 65 6th 60 7th 55 8th 50 9th 45 10th-12th 40 13th-18th 35 19th-28th 30 29th-38th 25 39th-48th 20 49th-58th 15 59th-68th 10 69th-100th 5 Remember last year when Seebok lost and had to play each day in a different costume :D not happy lol :)
