SNGs

Can someone please tell me what BR Management you would use for SNGs
from $5 SNGs and when to move up to $10 and then $20 ect.

I like to play 9 players from 2 -4 tables

If you are very confident in your ability to cash in them, about $150 would be good for the $5, if not, go for $200-$250.

For $10 you will need $400-$500.

Aim for about 40 to 50 buyins at each level.

I stick with the Ferguson rules and it seems to work well.

I think a lot depends on how good you are. What is your ROI like ? If you are a marginal winner at the level you play, say 5% Then I think 5 buy ins is a
reasonable amount. If you are crushing the level then 25 should be just fine.

The higher you go the more padding you will need. It can hurt bad if you move up a level and with out doing much wrong lose your first 5 or 6 sng's
More mentally than anything. So I would say take a shot at the next limit when you have like 30 buy ins, and then move back down a bit sharpish if you get off to a bad start.

I think Ferguson's guidelines are good, but a little thin for some players, and they are largely dependant on you being able to shift up and down quite a bit without it bothering you.

usually, if you are a decent sng player and cash regularly, it is safe to do have about 25 buy-ins.

SnG's are kind of middling varience, so 20-30 buy-ins is sufficient if you feel you can beat the game. The more the safer as always so try to for around 40 buy-ins.
