I think it is mainly due to the fact that poker like most things is easier when you are hidden behind your computer. It gives you the power to be anyone or no one all at once and if you do badly no one knows who you are. Long story shorter after about 15 to 20 live real life house games for several hours each time really helped now it doesn't bother me at all.
