Hey everyone. How long did it take you to finally be successful and profitable in poker?

It took me a couple of months to be succesfull at the micro stakes. It takes time to not be dependent on luck.

Some people do not become successful even after a few years. Someone becomes successful in a couple of months. Depends on the efforts you make, and a little bit of luck.

I always made some money playing cards back in the day just nothing to brag about. I didn't make any substantial money until the Moneymaker boom with online.

It all depends on what goals you set for yourself and how seriously.

It took me 4 years what would at least like to adapt to PokerStars. I can't say that I'm a very successful player. Anyone and never advise becoming a professional poker player.

For a few months to be profitable, it is unlikely, even to evaluate its profit of this time is simply not enough) Maybe you had a good session in the spin and go? ):icon_sant

It is a long process. And it will not be available to each player.

Success is measured differently by the individual. I considered myself successful when I was able to predict what hands my opponents had with pretty good consistency.

Poker is a game where I believe you can always improve, but it takes a lot of effort to study and learn. There are many ways to study including reading books, watching videos, training sessions and reading threads in such places as CardsChat. Everyone's success is relative to their own commitment and desire. Set yourself regular goals that you want to achieve and keep progressing beyond them.

Good luck

Patience, common sense 20%, intuition 15%, luck 15%, and of course the ability to play 50%, if all this will be present at some tournament, then you are in good prizes.

I played poker in various social networks (about 7 years) so when I came to Pokerstars I already had a great experience !!! But still the adaptation for the game for money took me 3-4 months! And only then did I start playing at +. I've been playing poker for a little over two years now and playing a small plus !!!

Recently, I began to understand that your success depends on the game that you do for yourself at the table. No matter how, but the result is important.
But sometimes I lose more often than win
But it was in the beginning of my game.
Now I win more often)))):D:D:D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool:

I played competitively in 2015, home games and casinos and I lost a lot at the casino. 2016, I played solely home games and I did okay. I stopped playing poker for several months until I went to a nearby casino in 2017 and I did okay. I'm slowly improving and I want to get better. Maybe I'll play in an actual tournament in 2018.

The longer you play the more profitable you become. You need a lot of patience and a lot of losses to become good.
