Almost no pro plays MTTs as their main income if they have 100% of themselves.

If some if the thread feels more comfortable playing MTTs or likes MTTs better it is possible that they gets more confidence and experience and therefore in relative terms are better in tournaments.

BUT almost all winning players play mainly cash for a steady "safe" income (if they don't multi-table like 24 tables MTTs online to reduce variance) .

Freerolls and Freebuys doss not count of course since you can win but almost never lose anything but your time.

You must compare tournaments with a buy-in of at least a dollar with cash games maybe 5-10NL to make a fair comparison.

The only thing that is an advantage in MTTs are that the players in general are worse than in cash. But even if you are twice as good as the field it is not like you get twice the chance to win due to the all-in play at the end game that is mostly luck because most players don't do big mistakes with a 10BB stack.

So at lest learn to win at the lower stake in cash games. You will be a better poker player in general, not just in cash. But also in MTTs you will improve. You get more training post flop and playing with deep stacks for example.

Anyone can get a chart for push-fold poker at the end of MTTs. Hardly any edge in that left.
