Talking To Yourself While Playing Poker?

I talk inside my head while playing, And sometimes the voices talk back to me, and then my dog tells me to k.. No just joking lol but yeah I talk to myself every game analyzing every hand.

The only time I really talk to myself is when I yell at the screen after a suckout or say yessssssssssssssssss after I suckout lol

no way its just talk, his playing style is very tight aggressive and his talk lends him to getting max value for his hands, personally i think he is one of the best live cash game players in the world

Well of course all of us are likely talking out the hand in our own head and making a logical assessment, unless you are a fish and your brain cannot reason anything but hitting that magic card you need. As for talking out loud, only would probably do that if I am the last to act on a hand and then I might do this to get a read on the opponent.

I think this is a brilliant idea, and I am going to start doing it immediately. I can see that it will help make sure I am making conscious choices (based on sound analysis), rather than reflexive actions (which tend to be more survival based and acting from fear or desire to gamble). Whats even more embarrassing for me is playing online and my wife walking in and catching me counting on my fingers as I talk to myself.

Yesterday I made terrible call on final table with A9, I was complaining like 10 minutes asking to myself how I could made this call

And usually when I am allin I am talking into computer cards which I need to get

I mostly talk in my head......as for as trying to analyze .....I don't really talk aloud but I can see why people would.......it may help them in some way I guess... its a stressful game.....lol...talk to somebody I guess............

Me too. It's a habit I should break, though, since I want to play in a casino at some point (none around here but hopefully I'm moving soon). I don't want to get thrown out of the place for forgetting myself and screaming F-bombs. Or even for muttering under my breath about how stupid something I just did was. Although if I dress the part (crazy bag lady) and talk to myself all night, maybe I can freak everyone into tilt and win some hands that way?

After playing a hand, it is really helpful to talk to yourself. u can appreciate yourself if u have played a nice hand. u will feel better from inside and even get boosted to repeat the same.
