This being a mark of an emerging industry and thus is kind of good as far as I'm concerned since I want to get involved in an emerging industry. The downside of this is that it makes it that much harder to get a foot in the door.

What I have done is send my resume unsolicited to a number of online poker sites and asking if they have a marketing job opening. The result of this effort has been one poker site being interested. Last week, I had the first telelphone interview with them and am waiting for a conference calls with both partners. However, there is no guarantee I'll land the job so I would want to continue looking and contacting to generate more job leads.
