Here's a few I have found out make me play better while I'm away from the tables.
1. Sleep. Somehow if I'm very very tired, like I am right now, I've got a final exam tomorrow and all of next week, I just play very bad. I make bad decisions, I think negatively. If I'm rested I just somehow feel like I'm "luckier" but it's probably I'm playing better.
2. I'm not hungry.
3. I haven't thought about poker at all in the past 24 hours or more because I'm busy or too occupied with something else.
4. I always seem to play better if I play right after I go work out or go running.
5. I've spent a lot of time since I last played poker doing something else that I enjoy (videogames, reading, sports, watching a movie, ect).
What do you guys do when you're not playing poker that you find make you play better when you ARE playing poker?
