I'm usually pretty cool at the tables.. but I did tilt once live, and this is pretty embarrassing, because this is not the type of person I am. First time I've actually talked about this on CC. I was in the middle of a hand. Had AQo.. and I had to pee pretty badly. This was at a bar tournament. I flopped a 2 pair on a rainbow board. I bet. Calling machine calls. A 2nd heart comes out. I bet again. Calling machine calls. 3rd heart comes out. I bet yet again. Calling machine calls and flips over his runner runner flush. I can't remember what he had exactly, but I remember he didn't even have a pair before he hit the flush. I proceeded to muck my cards, but I ended up tossing the cards at the player, and then got up to go to the bathroom. I apologized when I got back.. but the table was quiet for the rest of the tournament. These days, I don't tilt at the tables anymore. And I don't get mad at another player.. I'll get mad (not tilting mad) at myself for playing a hand like an idiot and losing, or if I'm on a bad run.. but I don't tilt on players like I did that one time. Players like that are good for the game... it keeps the bad players playing to help make the good players money. In the long run, just know that you will come out on the positive side if you play the right game. I find it easy to just blow off a bad beat and say "nice hand" to the other player these days. Also, I second Lark's suggestion.. Jared Tendler is a great mental coach that we are privileged to have here at CardsChat, answering questions. Definitely shoot him a question or two.
