I made my $50 deposit to PokerStars (hopefully my last) and now I start my grind. .01/.02 until $100, then .02/.04 until 200..etc..

I'm patient when playing cards/position, but I'm not much of a grinder (even in mmo's and such, I hated grinding) - so let's see how well I do. Hopefully I can stick to it.

To alleviate boredom, I'll probably join a random $1.20 SNG, whether STT or MTT..but other than that, I'm not going any higher. Wish me luck. :p

may i suggest u learn some PLO, the plo games at 1c-2c are so donkish, everyone overplays hands, if u want to move up very fast with ur BR u need to play those PLO games, just make sure u have a basic understanding oof the game first, maybe u could start with a little high low and then move to str8 PLO

gl tho, wish u the best

I know the basics of Omaha..not confident enough in my abilities to try and build a br from it though.

:icon_salu Good luck!

I find I do better on a higher stakes table like $.50/$1 or even the $1/$2 tables, because there are so many player that will not fold on the microstakes tables.

Not ready to give my money away yet, thanks ;)

..and I too prefer the higher limits, but I'm not rolled for it.. and while that hasn't stopped me before, I wanna do it properly and see how that goes.

Maybe so, but are you properly rolled for these limits? If not, dont plan on staying at them very long!!!

I think I might join you in that journey...I've always blown my roll because I enjoyed playing in the larger buyin tournaments. Since joining this forum and seeing all the information I have at my disposal now I decided to build a BR too. Ill be depositing 50 on stars tomorrow...probably be seeing each other on the penny tables

Well that is a good point, and since I play limit holdem you probable don't need as much of a Br to play the .50/1.0 tables. I find a $50 buy-in is plenty, not sure about NL, since I only play nl in tournaments. Even so when I was playing the microstakes tables I lost my br much quicker. I am now making money the majority of the time, because I the higher limit table actually seem easer.

Single tabling to start with..

..and I'm off to bed. Down .55 which sounds much better than saying I'm down $10 :p

So I'll carry on tomorrow probably after work.

I mean it is fine, but you do not have to make all glorious looking and with the equal sign separaters. The colors are fine. It looks a lot better now than it did before.
