http://www.pokernews.com/news/2010/...ications-of-eastgate-s-bracelet-sale-9391.htm

Anyone read this aritcle on how Tony G wants to buy Peter Eastgate's Main Event Bracelette and make it into a collar for his Dog.

I guess I can respect that Eastgate is giving the money to charity. But I just hate to see people treat the single most prestigous symbol in our game with disrespect as Tony G is sugesting.

If I would ever win a Main event then I would certainly do my part for Charity but would have the Bracelette displayed safely somewhere in my house... only to be worn during my defense of the title. LOL.... It's a nice dream.

What would you do if you bought it? You didnt earn it, I would be sort of embarrassed to wear it if people asked where it was from.

Enticing a bidding war and helping to raise almost 150K for charity, making a awesome peice of bling for his beloved pet AND helping Eastgate get rid of a bracelet (let's face it, it's just metal) he does not want is disrespectful? I disagree.

Sure, some would think that making it into a dog collar is a tad bit garish, but why not? Better it be served as something useful than having it sit on a shelf collecting dust as it was.
