While tilt is anger towards losing big hands, but I've also identified another type of tilt which can be even more dangerous, called Winner's Tilt. Winner's Tilt is when you win a big hand and get that rush of adrenaline. once you get that rush of adrenaline, you can end up playing even worse than when you go on tilt because it makes you want to gamble. You feel just a little bit invulnerable and end up opening your range, calling hands you would normally fold to and generally taking a few more risks than normal simply because you feel so great. Winner's Tilt can be worse than Tilt because once you start losing again you can go from Winner's Tilt straight to regular Tilt at a moment's notice. Also, Winner's Tilt can actually last from one session to the next. Have you ever won big, stopped playing, and then woke up at 1am and decided tp pick up where you left off only to lose big? Adrenaline rushes are addictive and can make you crave another one once one wears off. The next time you go on a heater and start feeling great about it take a moment and force yourself to calm down and get back to a normal playing emotion. Because the last thing you want to do is lose all your hard earned chips or cash because you're feeling too good.
