TAXES, damn I can't bleed anymore boss! LOL I can see if you cash out over a certain limit as they do in B&M casino. But they are wanting to tax the poker players as well as a 2% tax to the online establishment. Your poker room would send you a 1099 on all your winning. But etrade will send you a statement on moneys from a sell of a stock, but its the resposibility of the online investor to copy his stock purchase. So is it our resposibility of the player to keep their own records of deposit. I don't think that the casinos have a w/l statement(not for sure), but if your total cash outs total more than your deposits then you will have to pay 32.9 capital gains tax. But if it less you can't deduct it.

Just the average joe online is there for enterainment, even if they do play for real money(play money isn't entertainment). I mean have you ever went into a B&M casino and played for play money, C'mon. I can see that if make over a certain amount, then it could be considered income.

If they just want to charge the pokerrooms/casinos the 2% and put certain safeguard regulations for the players rights I am all for it.
