I have not played 2/5nl. Your opponents may be better than the people I have played with. The biggest game I have found is 1/2nl, in a um ... less than legal card room, but this has worked for me:
I generally just play laggy (ie. Super System as a back bone) until they start fighting back and change gears. Then change back if I start getting respect for my bets and raises. If I hit a couple hands I tend to raise the agression level even further, but not to rediculouse levels.  Picking on weak players who fold easily anyway is also a great way to give a false impression of your looseness. 
It amazes me how often people fold better hands or stack off with weak hands and complain about how agressive I am.
