Variance and Streaks?

Been playing double up sng's on bovada for almost a week now. Have gone on some crazy streaks winning five in a row then losing five in a row. And then winning 6 in a row and then losing 6 in a row. Is it me or is it the site? Or is it the competition? Seems too consistent to be variance.

I just recently played over 200 of these. The streaks came for me then they came against me. In the end I was winning at about a 58% rate. It's a winning rate but man is it a slow grind. I just could no longer continue to inch my way like that at those games. I use them now to help pay for some MTTs. Goodluck

I think an overall win rate of 60% is about right for these. So it will be a long grind but it is a profit.

I will play a HU or Double Up SnG to pay for a MTT or regular STT also

Bovada seems to run that way usually run good after a deposits and then bad beats start lmao.

Well 3 wins in a row now. Gonna try a new strategy. As soon as the win streak ends I am gonna drop down a level and play until I start winning again.

what stakes are you playing on bovada? I do find it pretty streaky even at the 10s.

Playing 20's now. Gonna drop to 10's if it goes bad again.

The times when you're not catching cards, you Gotta be patient wait for the good hands. The times when you are catching cards, you can be a little bit more aggressive!

Definitely agree with being patient but you gotta watch the aggression, If you fold 10 hands in a row then all of a sudden your betting big in one hand, dead giveaway of a good hand. You gotta balance it out.

good points for sure,but dont make the mistakes i did by trying to take advantage of being patient then getting aggressive because i found myself getting impatient and would try and take advantage in trying to steal a pot and get caught..but on the flipside i was able to use this in throwing the other players off from time to time.
