i just won a satellite to the $750k guarantee on FT this sunday.. this means i can either play it or change it into $216 tournament dollars which then i can use to buy into other tournaments... and my bankroll is 150$..

my question is.. should i take the 216$ and use it in other tournaments or shall i go for the gold and try for cashing in the $750k guarantee...

please help!!!

Take the T$ and use it in smaller tournies.

Look at it this way: Your total BR is now $336. Spending more than half of it on a single tourney would be terrible BR management.

Only you can answer that question.

But FWIW, Egon makes a very good point.

What were your intentions when you played the satellite??? Now that you won the seat all of a sudden you don't trust your play, or the odds??? Look at playing the big one for the cost of the satellite. You'll never win the big bucks unless you play for big bucks. You have to be in it to win it.

Take the tournament dollars. Use them in other tournaments. Try to win another satellite. If you do, use that one to enter the tournament.

Also I would like to add, how many times are you going to get this opportunity to play in a big tourney without paying for it, and if you happen to get lucky and cash bigtime the sky can be the limit. If you dont do it you will spend an awful amount of time trying to build a bankroll. And alot of frustration.

I would either (1) take the T$ and try to win the token over again or (2) play the tourney. I look at it like this, it may be bad br management, but I didnt have the money there to begin with, so if I play and lose then so what. You sound like you may want to try option #1 though, so maybe you can win another one. If you do win another one (or two), try the tourney. The level of play really isnt any better in the bigger tourneys, at least not until late into it. You may get lucky...
