what a difference the stakes make

ok cc ive been playing primarily .1/.2 cash games on full tilt where i had been suffering crazy swings where id be up then lose it all to maniacs late at night who just shove with nothing and suck out.....today i started playing at the next two higher stakes and boy its like a different world..im actually steadilly making money ya ill lose a hand here and there but its not me busting out and rebuying and tilting...i can actually play poker at a higher level and i like it alot more ....tell me if you guys notice the same thing i know most of you vets play at higher stakes but im sure you played wher im at, at some point in your career ..

Same here but hell if i can't get the players to fold i lose.

Ok. I stick to BRM bcos it helps out in the long run.
So I started off with $50. cant play 0.02/0.05 right? Went on to play 0.01/0.02......waste of time. Too many idiots and not enough money b-in made.
So what I did was I went onto 0.02/0.05 with my $50 and played a lil bit of extreme BRM (10 buy-ins for NL5).
Im not saying NL5 is easier than NL2, it jus I know what im doing, I can handle swings, i've got HEM to review my game so I decided to take a shot at NL5.
I only progressed thru NL5 bcos I reviewd alot of HH in HEM, read alot of threads on ring games on here and played decent poker and had alot of patience. Also multi tabling helps too to grind up the BR.

I jus felt NL2 was a waste of time since I was winning little and the level of competition was silly. I could of crushed NL2 but I thought using extreme BRM for NL5 was alot more profitable.

Im about to move upto NL10 soon. Probs gonna need to do a lil bit more work till I can crush this level.

I hear this phrase often "crush this level" before moving up. My question is what qualifies. I primarily play 6.50 9 man turbo sit n go's i currently have an ROI of 20 percent at this level. I am rolled to move to the 16 dollar(the next level up for the same game) but I feel so comfortable here.

I'm curious what other people think on this. I've played .1/.2 and ya it definitely can be as horrible as you say where you have people calling all-ins with rags and sucking out and winning. Tho you're supposed to win in the long run. It's supposed to be the easiest stakes and your winrate should be the highest of any limit.

You should be happy with those idiots that are calling with nothing. Sure, they are sucking out on you here and there, but in the long run, they are going to be making those same mistakes, and you can only benefit if you continue to play with them. What happens a lot of the time is that you get sucked out on once by one of these guys and get pissed off and quit playing that table, or for the night, and just keep reflecting back on it. Rebuy, stay at the table and get your money back, because it won't be in their account for long. The common phrase "You will win against these bad players in the long run" will ONLY apply if you keep playing against those players, not if you get pissed off and leave.

@Ridetheflop, if you're comfortable at your current level, I would continue playing there and maybe just throw in a $16 every now and then and see how you fair there, that will make for a nice, slow transition to that next level.

Don't leave where you are comfortable. If you make money, why move up where you may not make as much. Why not play one $16 for every 5 $6.50 you play ? Then you get to see what its like and not risk much.

I am rolled for $109 SNGs, according to the 5% rule, but in no way feel ready to play those stakes. The more my bankroll grows, the more protective of it I am. I know how long it took to grow it to this level and how I would feel if I went on a downswing and lost even half of it.
