Success would rest on the quality of the project - script, casting, direction, and if these were good, the project would be viable and should therefore draw people to poker. This is why I mentioned 'Molly's Game' and Aaron Sorkin. Then of course you have 'Rounders' co-writer Brian Koppelman, who is a co-creator/writer on 'Billions' 'Billions' is over the top at times but a fabulous romp to watch. The cast is great and the directing slick. Imagine a well written poker series with the fast-paced energy and entertainment values of 'Billions' - it could be a huge draw to poker. That said I think it would need a studio (movie or TV) to see the potential and develop the project rather than something which was attempted from within the poker industry itself.
