If I am still in I almost never play the next several hands unless I have a huge hand: AA, KK, QQ, AK, and even then I may throw away AK just because too many people are going to assume you are tilting and are going to call you down with a wider range. There's almost nothing worse than losing a huge pot, except losing a huge pot and then getting a huge pocket pair and losing it too.

The sting of losing a massive pot to someone who shouldn't have even been there is just as bad and if you don't have control and focus then it will really adversely affect your game. If you watched the Nat'l Championship of Poker and the way Daniel Negreneau handled the beat he took (especially with the dude beside him calling the cards)..this is a great example of how to handle the situation. You know he was boiling inside, but he was able to set emotion aside and continue.
