I also play PC video games, and in addition do some design work on the PC when not using my mac (but i have one for my mac too). These are the best mice out there and I highly suggest them as a professional computer user. I am in no way affiliated with the company, but I appreciate their quality.

Mouse type

I prefer the wireless two button roller type, hate having to deal with cords, but if you get one also invest in a battery charger, I like the energizer recharger that handles AA & AAA batteries, have not had to buy any batteries for over 3 years, just keep it handy so you can put batteries in as soon as they discharge so you always have a fresh set.

I am still useing tracball marble mouse about 4 years old with no troubles.
Some people never get use to it because you move ball with pointer finger not the whole mouse. Wife uses laser fine but moving whole mouse will tire you out on long poker sessions.

Also Wolfpack Im an alumni of NCSU Go Pack! Hoping for resurgence of championship years of 74 and 83.

I guess I may be different; because of a chronic pain problem in my right hand, I use a Logitech marble tracball for my right hand, and a Microsoft laser optical mouse in my left. In other words, I switch off between both when playing.
