I also - usually enjoy - the chat conversations on BETOnline and Sports Bet. It'd be nice if the other clients had chat features like they do. Friendly suggestion - consider increasing bluffing frequency, even though you are playing at the micro level. Although the common suggestion is not to - if bluffing is not included in a players arsenal it is difficult to make a deep run consistently. Over the past several months I've been thinking a lot more broadly about certain spots, what would I do here if I had 2 pair, can this player call down here with only top pair with so many draws coming in on the river, could I overbet here to make it look bluffy when it isn't. Bluffing has to be included in a players game - or value is being lost on a consistent basis. I know the feeling all too well. Best to keep a level head. Just yesterday I was just outside of the top 10 in chips, nearing the money bubble. I opened in EP with A/Q suited. only caller is BB who is the chip leader at the table. Flop T7Q rainbow. I value bet 1/3 pot - planning to get 3 streets here. Big stack shoves ?? OK - whatever - I make the call. Big stack turns over 7/4 and the river brings in another 4, because ?? OK - you got lucky - good luck making that mistake against me again. I just shrugged and closed down the table. Dude was wreckless and got lucky - that is all - I made no mistakes in that hand - so there is no reason to get upset by making the correct decisions. I've been feeling more and more lately like FT is the only pleasure I get - when considering earning money. It is pretty demoralizing to spend 3+ hours playing an event - only to see the bankroll increase the buyin amount x2. Yeah - it's not a negative sum, but I guess my expected return on playing well has increased lately. Probably misguided, but lately - I've been playing strong poker, and just missing FT. I also enjoy freezeout event. I've found though - the largest field of players - that provide big chip donations play exclusively in rebuy events. The freezeout events go against their "tendencies". Interesting mention about rude dealers. Can you expand on this? What types of actions are rude from dealers? I've never played live - so this is interesting to me. Yes I agree watching other players and learning how they play is very interesting. I was unconvinced timing tells, and player tendencies could be learned by observing online play. Now with a tiny bit of experience under my belt, this is one of the key elements of my strategy. I know the feeling of a foolish bluff as well. Just yesterday the flush and the straight came in on the river. I was only holding middle pair with an OK kicker, so when the lead player bet out 1/2 pot - I jammed knowing he should not call in this spot with only top pair. He called with top two pair, so yeah bluff gone bad. :)
