For me Omaha is a little more difficult, but more interesting than Holden.

I would say Hold em is less interesting because it has been way more solved.

I also prefer Omaha and it can be more difficult because it has been less solved as a game. Also the variance is way higher in Omaha.

It's very rare for you to get the money in and be totally dead in Omaha unlike Hold em.

If I was offered a choice between Hold'em and Omaha, I would still choose the main poker variant. Yes, Omaha is interesting (sometimes even profitable), but for me Texas Hold'em is more conventional and it's easier for me to compile statistics on players than I do in Omaha. :ninja:

I'm only interested in NL Hold'em. I don't play any other games because I try to improve my skills in one direction only, so I think my progress will be faster.

I have always been a die hard Texas no limit hold em guy until the last few years and i am finding that devoting a bit of time to watching Omaha hi/lo pros play their game has really helped me - i enjoy the challenge of hi/lo more and it definitely gets me thinking more about my hands and the variants involved - as others have said - you are never totally dead in Omaha which for me, makes it more interesting.
Its also noticeable that fewer hands are folded at the start of a Omaha game.

I think Omaha is a lot of fun, and crazy hands happen, but I also feel that for the most part there is a lot more luck involved with Omaha compared to Hold'em.
Don't get me wrong, Hold'em also has lots of elements of luck involved, but I feel that the skill level that a person brings to the table with Hold'em is more valuable to the game compared to Omaha.

Interesting are both, but I think Omaha is some more difficult to play because there are more possibilities to get good hand (or to loose with good cards).

I have written before that I like to play a lot of different variations of Poker so I don't get bored.

If you include all the variants of Omaha (like Hi-Low) that is more interesting and fun than Holdem.

But if I only had to choose between NLH and PLO the choice would be hard because the variance in PLO almost drove me insane when I tried to only play that for a while.

Just playing one variant always gets boring after a while no matter what type of poker it is.

Omaha is a little more difficult since you have to count more outs, combinations, etc - but at the lower levels, it often has less bluffing.

So what is more fun often depends on the players at the table. And not only the poker variant.

Texas Hold'em and Omaha are relatively young types of poker, appearing just over ten years apart. It is noted that the game of Omaha is more mechanical in nature, since you have to participate in the hand with any contact with the flop.Hold'em gives more creative freedom and requires intelligence. In addition, NLHE remains the most popular discipline, and the chance to encounter opponents who have an idea of strategy is higher here even at tables with amateurs. It is also noted that in Hold'em you can build a basic strategy much faster, while in PLO even after tens of thousands of hands a beginner still does not understand what is happening at the tables. In NLHE we know that AK is a good hand, and losing with aces against kings is just a bad beat. In Omaha everything is much more shaky and uncertain, any mistakes are heavily disguised, which prevents understanding the correct strategy.

Omaha is more interesting because there's a lot more action, but also there are more luck involved. I think at first Omaha can be more difficult to learn, but I think NLH is more difficult to dominate.

I use to play in a weekly NL game but it was changed to omaha because everyone wanted more action. It worked!! omaha is a drawing game compared to nl. I like them both.

Omaha is more interesting and fun to play as your Villains cannot just shove preflop or flop to end the hand quickly so more strategy on later streets is more interesting to me:unsure::geek:

I know how to play both. The pot limit feature in PLO is good as it stops maniacs from just shoving all the time pre flop.
I have never seen pot limit holdem anywhere but I think that would be an interesting variant.
