If you bet on the flop (because you have a good hand) and someone looks at you like you might be bluffing. They most likely have nothing (at best they have 2nd pair or a draw). If they call don't worry they might have convinced themselves your bluffing. Of course be careful. Check the turn if you think it couldn't have improved his hand. It will make it look like you do have nothing. If he bets go over the top, if he calls be careful of the river card. Of course you would not want to do this on a flop that has good draws.
