What is the stupidest thing you have ever saw in poker.
I would say people showing up to the low limit live poker table wearing sunglasses. I get it because they were emulating what they see from TV but they didn't realize that the other folks at the table were not capable of reading them or even cared about such things. And it was funny because they're trying to fit in on the poker floor but they looked like someone that had zero clue what they were doing at that low limit. Besides, who in their right mind wears sunglasses while sitting indoors at a table? lol. But stupid? Eh it was silly and awkward but I don't think stupid. I mean a lot of things aren't stupid if you look at something for a different perspective. I can take the OP about playing a $200+ tourn and I knew folks that would come onto the floor of a casino to see if their cash game was going early during the summer months during the day and if not would instead of going home or doing something else would play in a 150-$200 tourn if available and they were really just killing time until the evening when they knew their game would be running. Two hundred dollars or whatever wasn't much to them. I mean $200 live is like a the daily tourn or one buyin at $1/2 nl at the casino I used to play at and some folks are just there to relax and play anyway. Their main/only goal is not to win but to actually enjoy themselves and play and not care. Poker is something on the side like a distraction to them and this is one aspect that I really miss about poker. Too many people are selling get rich schemes and folks are buying in. I really don't play that much but Instead of glasses I woud bet these similar folks are talking about gto and some math stuff without knowing basic stuff like starting hands, not realizing that stuff isn't needed for the table but . . that's just my perspective. Cheers.
