The reason for that being that in tournaments it is hardly unusual to go 100+ tournaments without a large score. Cash game pros can expect a steadier cash income than can tournament players mostly because there is less variance. A good cash game player won't have massive binks like tourney pros but they also won't go hundreds of games without a profit.
