I used to play League Poker and as well as making the money I also accrued points in the League table and won it many times, Once even doing it without a single victory to my name, 
Because Consistency is the key, making the Final Table and finishing 2nd or 3rd week after week made me the League Champion because I could get there more times than most other players, also going and playing every week with the intention of winning the League and being devoted to the game is what it takes, Some one could turn up once a month and win every time he plays, but a devoted player taking the time to study and work at the game can beat him on Points and that is what matters most.
