What would you do if you won a large sum of money in a tournament?
First I would panic. Then I would be sad. You see, I vowed long ago to NEVER make a real money deposit to a website. Black Friday (April 15, 2011) scarred us American poker players for life. At least it negatively impacted me. But I never lost my love for poker obviously... so I began to play freerolls with the hope of building a bankroll that way, for free. Little did I know how successful my experiment would be!! Today my bankroll stands in the low four digits, which still isn't quite enough to get me excited, but it is most certainly WAY MORE than enough to have a real shot at BIG money... ...and that's when I get nervous and scared, thinking about it. You see, there's always a problem for those of us who never deposit... the sites do NOT want us to take our "free money" off their site very easily, so they do everything they can to try and prevent it... basically, they put a large "rake requirement" on our accounts before we can actually withdraw significant money... and since I don't grind cash games at all, I don't pay very much rake to the site... so even if I win a big score someday, I probably won't be able to withdraw much of it. And then in addition to the sites themselves, if we ARE able to withdraw a significant amount of money, well now we have to actually transfer it into our home bank so we can actually use the money... and at least for us Americans (the "Land of the Free", remember, which is a total joke on Americans), this is where the big problems really begin. Depositing a large amount of money out of the blue leads to all sorts of potential investigations, and it would be done without our knowledge. Basically its like a huge red flag for the "authorities" who seem to make it their job to try and steal it away from us by accusing us of "terrorist activities" or they'll make up some other equally ridiculous excuse... ...so to cut my long story short... I HOPE I NEVER WIN ANYTHING. lol
