What would you do in this situation?

Another thread about getting AA in the first hand of a tournament made me think about a conversation I had with several friends recently. If it's been discussed here before, I haven't seen it.

The situation: It's the first hand in the wsop Main Event (or similar tourney) and someone in front of you shoves all in. You look down and see AA in front of you. Do you call? Why or why not?

$10,000 tourney vs. $3 tourney.

The buy in shouldn't matter presumably you are rolled for the WSOP or you shouldn't play it, The pros and cons of how to play AA remain the same.

There are situations where folding AA preflop is ok, but this is DEFINITELY not one of them.

In any tournament I would call in all, I agree! There is no other hand with greater probability of victory as a AA before the flop.

Is this already happened in a NL game at WSOP? I can't imagine a player betting all-in first hand in WSOP without any reasons. Meaning that some moves must have been done before, for him to go all-in pre-flop in such a serious game as WSOP. So, i would probably call his all-in if i have a read on his hand (bet, raise, re-raise). If there is no explanation to his move, wisdom would be to fold i guess.

Well I suppose there are a few ways to look at this, first of all your playing in the tourney of your life so thats a factor. Cashing in the Wsop is a big deal IMO and comes with some kudos and cash of course

. I have to say in this situation against one player I would call for sure. A chance for a quick double up and getting a big advantage over the table. I have never played live before so I dont know how I would react if four or five pople went all in before me.
