Some players hate pocket Aces? Hate Ace-Queen? Hate low pocket pairs? etc. These are not terrible hands mathematically, so why would any player hate getting them? What these hands all have in common is that they are sometimes tough for beginning/average players to play. Why? Perhaps players over-value them, or perhaps they don't ever know where they are at in the hand against the opponent. Low pocket pairs are infamous for this. Does the opponent have air, or the nuts? Unless you hit a set, you are probably looking at their range polarized compared to you range because the low pair will probably act like a stronger bluff catcher, but not much else if you don't improve by the river.
