Anyone who has played with me enough times will have seen me fold hands until I have actually been forced into an all-in when the big blind came around. My mistake was not doing that here, and to not wait until I had a better hand or I had no choice but to go all-in. My thought process was flawed and deviated from my usual method. I thought that I was making that play in order to build my stack, so that I could get past the five players necessary for me to be in the money. In fact, that was not my reason

As I listened to Johnny Cash on the two hour drive home, I ran that hand over in my head. I realized that I was tired and was in too big a hurry to make something happen. In other words subconsciously I was ready to be done and acted accordingly. My patience had taken a back seat to my fatigue/boredom. As I've learned in other competitive activities, that is a major ingredient in the recipe for failure. :(
