I have certainly known some people that have been very lucky throughout their lives, and others who seem to be totally jinxed. Having said that, it doesn't really apply in the context of something that involves skill, such as golf or poker. There definitely is luck involved in some aspects of golf and poker, such as whether you win a specific hand where you are all-in pre-flop, or perhaps one hole or even a round of golf. What I shy away from is the tendency of people to say that all their poor results are down to bad luck, or something being rigged, when it's glaringly obvious to others around them that they don't actually play as well as they think they do. Which golf player was it that said "The harder I practise, the luckier I get."

Yes, someone can justify his play. He can. By your own example, he knows that J6 can win against someone who raises 5 BB.

I, too, can justify his play. If his chipstack was more than ten times yours, his play with ATC is justified. Details on this hand are somewhat limited, but obviously he tilted you to the max.

As far as a Cardschat player doing this, the entrance requirements do not include poker ability.

This and pigpens post are going someway to explaining the reasons why the guy called your pre flop raise.
I dont think j6 is right up there with the sorts of hands that can successfully crack aces or kings though.
I see what you are saying when you ask why would someone call your pre flop raise with this hand and apart from what rathrok and pigpen said i am interested to know too.
