Which to me, in poker, after you have the fundamentals in theory down, is to study the fringe where you can put even the top "professionals" in a difficult and unfamiliar spot. The trick in poker is to know when, with what, and approximately how often to employ such niche strategies, because massive deviations can be blunderous. There must always be an appropriate balance in our ranges, but let's not look over the edge cases in theory, if we want any chance of destroying our opponent's in an otherwise break-even or losing game, because of the rake, or whatever.
